PREVENT AND HEAL
Ensuring the health of sponsored children and teenagers is essential to allow them to continue their education.
Through regular medical check-ups, support with healthcare administrative procedures, distribution of hygiene kits, prevention workshops, we provide them with all the tools they need to maintain both physical and mental well-being.
4 CONCRETE ACTIONS
1. Distribution of hygiene kits
Each year, several times a year, sponsored children and teenagers receive toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and other essentials.
Everything they need to prevent skin diseases and promote good oral hygiene.
2. Medical check-ups
Every six months, they meet with doctors from local health centers to monitor their health and assess whether additional care is needed.
3. Prevention workshops
At both our socio-cultural centers and at Dharma Citta, we regularly organize workshops on health and psychosocial risks.
We raise awareness among high school students about menstruation, sexuality, and consent.
These workshops help teenagers build confidence, break down taboos, and approach relationships in a healthy, respectful, and reassuring way, while respecting local customs.
4. Administrative support
We support their registration with BPJS (the Indonesian national health insurance system).
These administrative steps ensure access to basic healthcare coverage.
We also have a dedicated health fund to cover additional costs related to medical consultations or hospitalizations.
