The role of families in a child’s and teenager’s development is essential.
That is why we involve families throughout the entire educational journey – from joining the association to professional integration.
Families commit through a moral agreement with the association.
In return, we support them by improving their living conditions and breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
4 CONCRETE ACTIONS
1. Access to clean water
Each year, we provide families of newly enrolled children with a Nazava© water filter, distributed by Social Impakt, ensuring access to safe drinking water.
We also initiate drilling projects and build water distribution points to provide running water access to families of sponsored children as well as to the wider communities in our areas of intervention.
2. Emergency health and disaster fund
We support families affected by illness or natural disasters.
If a parent falls ill, we cover medical expenses not reimbursed by the Indonesian national health insurance system.
In the event of natural disasters, we fund and supervise reconstruction work when necessary.
3. Food distribution
We organize food distributions (rice, eggs, and oil) for families of sponsored children to help meet their essential needs.
4. Family involvement in the educational journey
We involve families from the moment their child joins the association, encouraging them to become fully engaged in their child’s education.
Parental commitment to the educational project is essential to support and motivate their child.
They also agree for their teenager to join the Dharma Citta residence in Singaraja when entering ANAK High School.
Finally, families act as local ambassadors of the association within their communities.
